USDA’s Summer Food Service Program includes 6 locations in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Alexandria City Public Schools will host six sites for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Summer dining program from next Monday.

The USDA program, a federally funded program that reimburses operators who serve a healthy breakfast and lunch, will provide free meals to all children in Alexandria ages 2 to 18. The program runs from July 25 to August 12.

Breakfast and take-out lunches will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Meals are distributed on Monday (Monday and Tuesday meals) and Wednesday (Wednesday to Friday meals).

Here are the locations and times:

  • Alexandria City High School, 3330 King Street Alexandria, VA 22302: 7:30-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Cora Kelly Elementary, 3600 Commonwealth Ave, Alexandria, VA 22305: 7:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
  • William Ramsay Elementary, 5700 Sanger Ave Alexandria, VA 22311: 7:30-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Patrick Henry School K-8, 1501 Cameron St. Alexandria, VA 22314: 7:30-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
  • The Graham at Southern Towers Apartments, 5021 Seminary Road Alexandria, VA 22311: 10:45 a.m.-11:10 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Four Mile Run, Corner of Florence Drive and Four Mile Road, Alexandria, VA 22305: 11:20 a.m.-11:45 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
