Summer Food Service Schedule Set | Local News

Wyoming County Schools announced their sponsorship of the federally funded summer food service program. Breakfast and/or lunch is open to all children 18 and under who wish to participate.

Meals will be served at the following locations:

l Pineville Elementary School (located at 541 River Road): free breakfast from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and free lunch from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. until July 29 (closed on July 4 for Independence Day ).

l Piney Garden Apartments, (located at 29 Jackson Hill Road) Pineville: Lunch provided 1:45-2 p.m. through July 29 (closed July 4 for Independence Day). Meals will not be delivered to the site during thunderstorms. Meals may be taken at Pineville Elementary School during Pineville Elementary School lunch hours.

l Bowman Bottom, Pineville: Lunch provided 2:15-2:30 p.m. through July 29 (closed July 4 for Independence Day). Meals will not be delivered to the site during thunderstorms. Meals may be taken at Pineville Elementary School during Pineville Elementary School lunch hours.

l McKinney Elementary School in Berlin, (located at 405 Cook Parkway) Oceana: free breakfast from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and free lunch from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. until July 29, 2022 (closed July 4 to occasion of Independence Day).

l Gilliland Park Pool, (located at 267 Maple Avenue) Oceana: lunch provided from 12:00 p.m. to 12:15 p.m. and snack provided from 3:45 p.m. Independence). Meals will not be delivered to the site during thunderstorms. Meals may be taken at Berlin McKinney Elementary School during Berlin McKinney Elementary meal times.

l Oceana Apartments (located at 100 Elkins Cove Road): lunch provided from 12:30-12:45 until July 29 (closed July 4 for Independence Day). Meals will not be delivered to the site during thunderstorms. Meals may be taken at Berlin McKinney Elementary School during Berlin McKinney Elementary meal times.

l Shumate Mobile Home Park, (located at W.Va. Rt. 971 North Avenue) Oceana: Lunch provided 1:15-1:30 p.m. through July 29 (closed July 4 for Independence Day). Meals will not be delivered to the site during thunderstorms. Meals may be taken at Berlin McKinney Elementary School during Berlin McKinney Elementary meal times.

l Ford’s Mobile Home Park, (located at W.Va. Rt. 971 South Street) Oceana: Lunch provided from 1:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. until July 29 (closed on July 4 for the ‘Independence). Meals will not be delivered to the site during thunderstorms. Meals may be taken at Berlin McKinney Elementary School during Berlin McKinney Elementary meal times.

l Mullens Middle School (located at 801 Moran Avenue): breakfast provided from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and lunch provided from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. until July 29 (closed on July 4 for The Independence Day).

l Mullens Elementary School (located at 2107 Caloric Road): free breakfast from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and free lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. until July 29 (closed on July 4 for the independence).

l Mullens City Pool (located at 1504 Moran Avenue): lunch provided from 12:30 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. and afternoon snack provided from 3:45 p.m. ‘Independence). Meals will not be delivered to the site during thunderstorms. Meals can be taken at Mullens Middle School during Mullens Middle meal times.

l Appartements Guyandotte, (located at 208, rue Trace) Mullens: lunch provided from 1 am to 1:15 pm until July 29 (closed on July 4 for Independence Day). Meals will not be delivered to the site during thunderstorms. Meals can be taken at Mullens Middle School during Mullens Middle meal times.

A nutritious meal is important for children to learn, play and stay active during the summer months, according to a spokesperson. Hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation.
