An Indian street food stall based in a Lancashire market has doubled in size.
Chacha’s, formerly known as MoMoz, is owned by Salman and Masroor who have now expanded their original unit in the adjacent stall in Market Hall, Preston. MoMoz opened in 2018, as a stand in the new market hall.
The new section of the stand will be dedicated to a vegetarian menu, with vegan and gluten-free options. The original stand will now contain a wider range of curries, appetizers and new items such as shawarma wraps.
Salman Ahmed and Masroor Ahmad, owners of Chacha’s (Uncles) said: “We are very excited about the future of Chacha’s within Preston Markets, the new space allows us to offer a greater range of food, we look forward to see what people think of our new layout and our new menu.
“We will continue to sell popular samosas, bhajis and curries with vegan and gluten-free options and have now added delicious shawarma wraps to the menu.”
Adrian Robinson, Acting Director of Client Services, said: “Congratulations to the Salman and Masroor brothers on completing their expansion plans. It’s great to see a merchant able to grow their business and succeed in the Preston Markets.
“MoMoz has been popular with Market Hall visitors since it opened in 2018 and I’m sure this initiative will see its popularity grow even further.” “It’s thanks to the people of Preston, who continue to support their local market, that hard-working traders like Chacha’s have an opportunity like this.”
